A synthetic lawn will not only drastically cut your water bill, but also your maintenance bill.
Maybe you’ve heard stories about synthetic lawns being bad for the environment. The fact is that none of this can be substantiated with scientific evidence. A recent scientific study in fact found that synthetic lawns don’t give off any gasses that could harm the environment. They don’t negatively effect the normal flow of water either. No proof could also be found that it contaminates storm water to any significant extent.
Many people in the past used to complain that synthetic lawns somehow don’t feel or look like real grass at all. A number of years back that was in many cases a valid complaint. Nowadays, however, science has refined the manufacturing process to such an extent that an artificial lawn looks and feels very much like the real thing. Soy is for example used to enhance both the appearance and feel of synthetic grass.
The dividends of an artificial lawn will only become apparent over a period of time. The savings on water and maintenance over a ten year period can be astronomical. The fact that your lawn can look like new ten years from now is an added bonus.
